When organising your wedding, I’m sure the last thing you will be thinking about is whether the electrical equipment, being used for your event, has been properly PAT tested. Even if the power is off, you can still get a nasty shock by standing on a wet floor if the electrical services haven’t been set up properly with the appropriate breaker and earthling. If you have been out in the rain, or your clothes are wet, be sure to change before you undertake any type of electrical project. Ensure that a qualified PAT testing engineer has checked all of the equipment and that anybody you hire has had the relevant portable appliance testing checks done on the equipment they are using.

It is worth checking that the loading on the electrical system isn't to great, and that you use a qualified electrical technician to check the loading and that all cables have been properly tied up and covered over to prevent tripping and the chance of somebody accidentally catching one of the leads.
